Breck Light

Breck Light

Breck Light is a native of Campbell County, a financial advisor, and spends his spare time running a cattle farm with his family. Fresh out of Lynchburg College’s MBA program, Breck started raising and selling grass-fed & finished beef at local markets and it was there that he began to see the impact that conservation can have on a community. When not at his office job, he can be found working on the farm, jumping in creeks, or cowboy camping. Breck enjoys farm walks with his wife Emelyn, fly fishing, bowhunting, reading, and slowly running long distances. They have three dogs, a cat named Rosemary, and 75 cows.

"We abuse land because we see it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
