Charles Lacy - CVALC Program ManagerCharles joined the Central Virginia Land Conservancy as Program Manager in 2025. He previously worked as a Conservation Specialist for the Virginia Department of Forestry, developing open-space easements in the western region of the state. He holds a BA in History from Hampden-Sydney College, a GIS Certificate from Mountain Empire Community College, and a Remote Pilot Certificate. Charles began pursuing a career in land conservation after thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2022. A Southwest Virginia native and lifelong outdoorsman, Charles enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, gardening, and playing his banjo. He lives in Nelson County with his wife Emilee and English Setter, Sally. |
