Valley Link Transmission project resolution

On April 7th, 2026, the Central Virginia Land Conservancy approved a resolution regarding the Valley Link transmission line proposal. Read the full text of the resolution here.

The Valley Link transmission line proposal threatens the rural character and natural resources of Central Virginia. The proposed route would impact over 2,500 acres of land that is currently forested or farmed, all of which provides valuable habitat to the region. Roughly 120,000 businesses and citizens reside within one mile of the proposed route and would be impacted by the project.

The resolution addresses our concerns with the project, and provides feedback to Valley Link and the State Corporation Commission (SCC) as they make their decisions.

The Piedmont Environmental Council has compiled a resource page on their website that provides valuable information on the Valley Link project.
